Welcome to the Meopham Historical Society Website

The society was formed in 1971.

The MHS members are interested in national, local archaeology and history. The society holds regular evening meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, 7 for 7.30pm, in The St Johns's Centre, Wrotham Road, Meopham, Kent DA13 0AA (except January), where guest speakers give talks on various subjects connected with history.

On the website you will find details of our monthly meetings and our programmes of speakers, social events, outings and holidays. Also you will find information on our projects, our publications and affiliations with links to other relevant sites. There are also pictures and articles on present and past Meopham, a village, which has been inhabited since the stone age.
